Hello there! Chinese citizen currently traveling in Turkey. I'm trying to get at least a Thai tourist visa from a Thai Embassy out of China since now going back to China is a pain in the a**. Any suggestions of where I could go to get a tourist visa without being a residency in their country? Many thanks!!

..unless invited by a business in Cambodia, all you can get is a 30 day tourist visa. Other visas have been suspended.

Once you have that, if vaccinated you need to quarantine for 7 days at a cost of $1000.

Non vaccinated 14 days $2000.

Google your nearest Thai embassy/consulate. You can apply for a tourist visa from pretty much any Thai consulate/embassy.

Go to Cambodia. To get Cambodian residency all you need is a visa which has over 6 months. The visa is easy to get and doesn't cost too much. I got a Tourist via the Thai embassy in Cambodia, as a non-Cambodian.

Not sure if China is using the Evisas yet or not. If they aren't, try the Thai embassy in Instanbul.

that is the thing I can’t be sure abt. I contacted a few agencies located in China, they all told me they couldn’t apply it, even it’s an E-visa.

Historically you couldn't because you needed to mail your passport to the embassy. Even if you could mail it internationally to a friend or agent, they'd see in the passport whatever country you're in.

Now with the Evisa though, the Thai embassy has no way of seeing what country you're currently in. The visa is emailed to you.
