No, it's walk in service. Drop it off in the morning, pick it up in the afternoon the next day.

If i went the OA route i know £20,000 is needed, so once i have shown it in my UK bank statement can it come back out for the next 2 years or does it need to stay there.

Danny Batchelor whats the flight change fee to rebook for late September...October???

Might be an option.

Otherwise...go to Savanaket Laos as suggested before....and try the O-A next time in UK... Good luck.

"if you're married you only need 400k or go to savannakhet in Laos and you don't need to show any money if you're married to get a one year Multi O"

If it was banked today, you couldn't apply until the 19th September at the earliest

Even if it was banked today we are in the UK 7-21st Aug so that may not work.

Danny Batchelor thankfully you are age 50+ ...opens up the possibility of getting the O-A. Just meet the financial requirement.

Looks like your solution may work...needs to be in UK bank account for 3 months. DO IT NOW...

Be sure to deposit MORE than 20,000 GBP...as pound is in decline. Today EXCHANGE is 20,125 GBP.

"Bank statement or evidence of adequate finance for the past 3 months showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 800,000 Baht (approximately £20,000.00) "

If i had £20,000 in the UK bank i would do that, i have given up my retirement visa because i cannot raise the 800,000, i am running on empty because of the exchange rate. Now i think i am finished here and will lose my wife and children.

I know this isn't travel advice, but if you want to get to Savannakhet, Laos, the cheapest way is by bus (one way ticket about 400THB, about 12 hours from BKK though - ugh). The second cheapest option is to take a flight from BKK/ DMK to Ubon, and then a bus from Ubon to Savanakhet. They have flights running there daily, and I believe about 800THB for a one way ticket.

IF age 50+ ....

Danny Batchelor how about using COMBINATION of Income and banked money?

Bank statement or evidence of adequate finance for the past 3 months showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 800,000 Baht (approximately £20,000.00) or an income certificate for the past 6 months with monthly income of not less than 65,000 Baht (approximately £1,625.00), or a deposit account plus a monthly income totalling not less than 800,000 Baht. If you send a copy of bank statement, the original reference letter from the banking concerned is necessary.

Apply for the Non Immigrant O-A (Long Stay) visa, gives you 1 year on entry and when making a border run just before the valid until date you get a second year of stay out of it. Much better than the 90 days out of this now ending Non O visa.

Taking my family back to the UK in August just for the Non O Multi entry. This is the worst possible news. Flights already booked.
