Looking for feedback on those that applied for a Non-O Thai Family in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh, are there many differences in requirements? Processing time, document uploads, length of visa..
Or would it be better to go to Vientiane, Laos seeing as they offer more convenient options?

My husband just got his Non-O visa in Ho Chi Minh City. It was pretty easy and the documents were simple. You can apply while you’re there using the Thai e-visa system. All he needed was:
- Our marriage certificate
- Thai family member’s ID card
- Proof of funds (he just showed his VA disability letter)
- Hotel reservation in Ho Chi Minh
If they don’t ask for anything extra, it usually takes about 5 business days.
