I just got an extension of my Non-O Visa based on Retirement until December 31, 2022. It was issued to me on 14 December 2021.
In the evening of the same date, I then applied online for the 90 day notification of residence (my reporting date is 28 December).
Today, I got an auto generated response:
Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected.
This is the first time that my application is rejected. Anybody has experienced the same especially now that they are doing .some system maintenance. Any advice?
1. Should i re apply online?
2. Should i go ahead and apply in person (oh no! Long trip again.)
Thanks a lot.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has successfully extended their Non-O Visa based on retirement until December 31, 2022, but faced a rejection when applying online for the 90-day notification of residence. They are seeking advice on whether to reapply online or visit in person, noting that this is their first rejection and mentioning potential system maintenance issues. Comments suggest confusion about the reporting timeline and experiences with both online and in-person reporting.
