TLDR : Answer Summary
The process of switching a work permit (WP) to another company in Thailand involves some specific steps: you cannot directly transfer your WP; the new employer must apply for a new one after you cancel your current permit at the Ministry of Labor. If you are on a valid Non-B Visa, you can switch employers without needing to leave the country, but you must keep in mind that regular 90-day border runs are still required. Additionally, costs for new work permits can vary significantly, ranging from around 3,800 baht to over 15,000 baht when involving professionals for assistance.

In Samui the cost of a new wp from a lawyer/accountant starts from 15,000 baht till 18,000.

About your multiple entry Non B visa, you must do a border run to Satun to re-activate it every no more than 90 days: check your current stamp expiry date to know when you must do the next

You and old employer visit Ministry of Labor, cancel the Work Permit, new Employer applies after cancellation for new WP.

If you are on the original Visa, yes no problem to switch, be aware you still have to leave the country on the regular 90 days.

I`m on a VISA - Non-B still valid for 9 month .. so I can switch the company and WP?

You can not switch the WP to another company, the company has to apply for a new one. You can work for both companies on 1 WP if both employers agree to the terms and conditions. If you are on a VISA than it is no problem to switch employers or WP. If you are on an Extension of Stay from local Immigration based on working, you have to cancel the WP, cancel the Extension of Stay and apply for new Extension or leave the country.
