Does anyone have any information about the possibility of making Visa-runs with countries that have already opened borders with Thailand?
I don't know what this process will look like with the Thailand Pass.
If anyone can collaborate with any information on how to proceed, I would appreciate it

TLDR : Answer Summary
Currently, Thailand only allows entry into Cambodia by air for those who are fully vaccinated. The land borders remain closed, and as such, traditional visa runs are not possible at this time. Travelers must remain abroad for at least 5 days and apply for the Thailand Pass to re-enter Thailand, which adds complexity to the visa run process. There is no clear solution for e-visa applications while remaining in Thailand, and travelers are advised to check specific entry requirements and current regulations before planning any trips.
Yes if you're vaccinated you can now enter Cambodia. This must still be done by air for the time being. Even though Cambodia has announced entry by land is possible, in actual fact it isn't. Thailand won't allow you to leave the country by land to Cambodia. You have to fly there. By next month, there should be regular flights at least to Phnom Penh; later on, Siem Reap flights will return as well.

give it time. cambodia and viets are opening as we speak. time is needed to figure this out
no , viet and cambodia have only been open to tourist for one week not two year. thais might restrict border run. i suspect so. now if u stay over in viet or cambodia for some time maybe they will allow. but they might restrict one day back and forth
lol. They have been closed for almost 2 years. We all know this. Vietnam is NOT open. Cambodia opened for air travellers on the 15thā¦ yesterday. And there will be no border runs until things change
maybe. No one has tried applying for an evisa from their home country while still in Thailand yet, so we don't know. Still waiting to hear a report from someone who tries. It probably comes down to how closely they examine the passport pages you have to send it as part of the application, but in theory you could have your stickerless visa and Thailand Pass for re-entry before you even leave Thailand.
no they didnāt. Cambodia opened for air entry only. No border runs. Itās a good step though. Possible that someone could do Thailand Pass while in Thailand, spend a few days/weeks in Cambodia and return
first, you would need to land, and stay the minimum 5 days in Cambodia. This on it's own eliminates the border run. If all clear in Cambodia, spend your time, apply for thailand pass, obtain your PCR in Cambodia, if you don't have insurance, you will need it to re-enter, and hope that the e-visa process works well in Phnom Penh or that the RTE is willing to issue your next visa and see if you can accomplish that during what could be an extremely busy 5 days in Cambodia. There will be no border runs. Full stop
right.... like me. But then it's clearly not a border run is it? Which simply circles back to my original point about border runs. Ur learning... but it's not a fast process lol.
can produce the news article for thisā¦I know cambodia and Thailand are working on letting migrant workers in but nothing on tourists traversing back and forthzzz
It hasn't been allowed since March 2020. It might return next year or so, but only once the borders have fully reopened OR even if they're only open for day trips, that might be enough, since these border run vans only take you across for an hour or so anyway.

Previously, we used to do visa-runs and get a new stamp to stay 90 days longer.
Will we get another 90 days by opening the borders?
Depending on the direction the wind blows, all countries will probably fully reopen, but it will take some time. It's not going to happen in one fell swoop. I wouldn't even call Cambodia's announcement as a "full reopening" because it comes with conditions. It's probably as close to being "open" as you've been able to call it, since March 2020 though.
Vietnam has already said the final stage of reopening, meaning full unrestricted access by land, sea and air (meaning from borders with China, Laos and Cambodia) as well as cruises and regular, commercial flights, won't happen until June 2022.
Expect other countries to follow a similar schedule. Anything before June 2022 will only be a partial reopening or come with certain conditions.
Cambodia already said that you just have to be fully vaccinated. And can enter the county. I guess it takes some time to restart flights and busses and things
Vietnam in the other hand only allows organized tours with 7 day's querentine
They are very hard country
They will open last
And in Vietnam their is growing pressure to follow in Thai and Cambodia steps
itās only for air travel right now, soon the thai govt will open the border for Cambodian workers to come into Thailandā¦but as a tourist itās only for air travel but it could change
Jon Martin-th. The Cambodian border opened today for people entering, but anyone from Thailand will still have to apply for the Thailand Pass before flying back to Bangkok.

Marcos ThaiMan. That's entering Cambodia. That's little to do with re-entering Thailand, which will require you to apply for a Thailand Pass, get new insurance etc whilst you're in Cambodia prior to flying back to Thailand
I found this "AXA Sawasdee Thailand is a single trip policy insurance. AXA Thailand does not offer an annual "multiple-trip" policy at this time" (bottom of the page, just above section Remark)
A few days ago I stumbled on someone saying Axa was cr** for this reason. I also got mine through Arawan Namak, she advised ACS, good price and multi-entry, so I bought that one
