May i know guys how much the cost both penang malaysia & Laos Vientiane for ED Visa please?

Thank you

a 90 day ED visa is 2000baht in Vientiane and in Penang it is 300 RM ..

I certainly would ask your school what consulates they recommend. Many schools have a policy that if you don't use the consulate they recommend and you get denied the visa you can't get more paperwork from the school to try again and you can't get a refund either.

I would stay away from the thai consulate in Phnom Penh as they have a longer waiting period to get your passport back than other consulates in the area.

Yep, +1 for Vientiane. I'm here at the moment for a new ED visa. The last time I came here, I travelled through Laos. Vientiane is great. Takes you one night here to get it done and also in about one to two days you have seen the capital and you can go on to Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang, Luang Namtha, Nong Khiaw or wherever you want to go. Good thing is also to start in Vientiane and then head north to Huay Xai where you cross the border to Thailand in Chiang Rai or to go south and cross it in Mukdahan.

Thank you guys a lot :) Has anyone experience with the Consulate in Penang, Malaysia ?

Chris I'd say Penang will probably give you an Ed Visa fine if your paperwork is in order. I'm saying "ask your school" simply as they presumably know for all their other students, for that school and the specific course you are following and the paperwork they prepared, whether their other students got the visa OK at consulate X or Y- they are going to be able to advise you on this better whether a consulate is OK *for that school* than random people on Facebook. For general travel advice though Penang is a nice place for sure.

I have got several tourist visas there, it is one of the easier consulates historically. I have been there plenty both getting visas and not getting visas, I have spent several months there total out of maybe a year in Malaysia. It's a really nice place for sure, my favourite part of Malaysia and a really beautiful city. And the consulate is relatively easy going although they have tightened up a bit recently on the tourist visa front. So- as a place to go, it is great, IMO. Regarding whether Penang will give you an ED visa specifically though you need to ask your school. I got my own ED visa in Vientiane.

Vientiane. Too easy.

I'd recommend you ask your school, they often know best as I believe need to address the paperwork to whichever embassy as well. Step 1 with the Ed visa is signing up with a school, the visa is step 2, so ask your school where they think is best.
