How does obtaining a Non-Imm B visa at the Thai consulate in Hong Kong compare to doing it in Laos or Singapore?

I posted a few days ago requesting advice about getting my non imm B from a neighbouring country. Laos seems to be favourite but I'm toying with a quick trip to Hong Kong. Has anyone experienced the Thai consulate there for visas?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on obtaining a Non-Imm B visa from a neighboring country, considering Laos and Hong Kong as options. Comments indicate that the Thai consulate in Singapore has a streamlined online application process. Additionally, it is noted that the Hong Kong consulate requires proof of applying for a work permit to issue a Non-B visa.

Hong Kong is the only thai consulate around that will issue a Non-B without proof of having applied for a work permit.

Thanks, as long as they don't give me that Thai attitude that some in 'authority" are well known for!

Got mine in Singapore recently - they've got a foolproof online application process now so you get approval before you get on the plane. Hopefully other consulates will follow suit......
