Hi All, I'm a South African looking to apply for a Non-B in Malaysia. KL is not an option as they could take up to 4 weeks to process my application.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the other embassies (Kota Bharu and Penang) in Malaysia or Singapore that doesn't have a long visa processing time for South Africans. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A South African is seeking advice on quicker alternatives for applying for a Non-B visa, mentioning that Kuala Lumpur's processing time can take up to 4 weeks. Comments suggest that the Thai Consulate in Penang doesn't accept South African passport applications, while Kota Bharu does. Other commenters recommend applying in Singapore, where they have had positive experiences, and even suggest trying Hong Kong as an option.

not that we have found. They reply fast if you have documents missing, you can check your online application status, I have zero complaints about Singapore visa applications. All the information is correct on the site, your appointment time etc etc. Just an expensive city to be in 😂 but the visa applications, extremely efficient.

any problem with their online system?

The Thai Consulate in Penang does not accept applications of S/A passport holders, Kota Bharu does, this all out of reports on this page. Most S/A passport holders visit Laos as there applications are not a problem for them based on passport. They still need to meet all the other requirements.

I understand but Vientiane want to see a work permit before they issue a second Non Immigrant B visa or at least the application forms for this work permit, you can try Kota Bharu.

so basically I was told they could not transfer my Non-B from the previous school to my new school. They have the documents ready to apply for a new Non-B visa under their name
Robert *******
And this new school does not have the application ready for the work permit, so you're looking for a Thai consulate to avoid these documents

so I changed schools during my 90 day Non-B visa and CM Immi said they do not have the jurisdiction to cancel my Non-B from Vientiane so as a result I had to do a visa run to cancel my Non-B and be put on a Tourist visa again and do the whole application process all over

if you have the Non Immigrant B visa already, than you just go with employers documents to your local Immigration Office and apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay.

I recently applied for a Non-B in Vientiane and have been advised to apply elsewhere in case they reject my application
