I am on tourist visa now, but I have a company that I just applied to who offered me non-b visa and work permit.

I recently emailed the thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur and they said that thailand is not allowing foreigners to enter back, only locals.

Is it less complicated to apply for the non-b visa in Laos or Singapore ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a tourist visa and has received a job offer that includes a Non-B visa and work permit. They are seeking advice on whether it would be simpler to apply for this Non-B visa from Laos or Singapore. However, the community has pointed out that Thailand is currently closed to most foreigners and that visa applications at Thai consulates may not be functioning normally. Additionally, there is uncertainty regarding travel to other countries like Malaysia and Singapore, making the visa application process complex.

I've been in your position since February. Around 1 month ago I decided to just go to Immigration and the officer there said they cannot convert the amnesty stamp to a non-b. She said I just have to wait until the country is open and apply overseas

Malaysia and Singapore are not open to tourists so very unlikely you will be able to get visa sorted yet.

my advice to you

;

IF the company that is wanting to employ you can't get the Non-B visa inside the country from the immigration office you'll have to wait until the borders open back up to "normal foreigners' AND for the neighboring countries to open back up so you can go there to get the Non-B

IF you manage to get to a country that will let you in AND IF you manage to get a visa from the thai consulate there this is the procedure you go thru to request to get back in to thailand.

I think Malaysia is closed too...

At this time thailand is closed to foreigners entering the country except on a case by case basis and most thai consulates aren't even issuing visas at this time.

In order to enter thailand you need to follow the instructions they sent you (and that's IF you have a work permit and/or a Non-B visa) and it's at EVERY thai consulate.

WAIT until you hear the announcement from the government that the country is opening back up
