After the 60 days visa exemption can I get a 30 days visa for extended stay total 90 days? Can I then go to Malaysia and back to Thailand and get a new 60 days visa exemption and a new 30 days visa for extended to new total of 90 days stay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, after the 60 days visa exemption, you can obtain a 30 days visa for an extended stay, giving you a total of 90 days. By traveling to Malaysia and returning to Thailand, you can receive a new 60 days visa exemption followed by a 30 days extension, totaling another 90 days. However, this practice should not be repeated indefinitely, as immigration officials may eventually question your intentions and deny entry.

Yes, and yes.

But you can't do that forever. You will be fine doing it once, maybe even twice. But eventually they are going to stop you and ask you what you think you are doing trying to live in Thailand without a long-term visa, and will eventually deny you entry.

If you are just doing 90+90 then going home, shouldn't be any issues.

thanks.

I intend to get 60 days, leave and return for another 60 days then drop Baht 1,900 for a 30 day extention. Does that seem reasonable?

The only issues will be the return ticket which covers 150 days. Is that a problem?

or is it the return ticket ?

ask your airline if it's a problem

why he have to ask his airline ?
Brandon ************
@Jeroen **********
because the airline is the one who might ask for proof of leaving Thailand, not immigration.

I will do the same for 120 days stay, so my airline can ask me for proof of leaving ? What I have to proof that I will leave the country to my own country ?

Proof of an onward ticket leaving Thailand for the number of days you initially get stamped in for, i.e. 60 days for most travellers

what? You gave the previous poster a detailed answer. Guess I made a mistake asking you.

the answer given is the correct answer. The airline would deny you boarding if they think Thai immigration will deny you entry
