I was only given a turist 60 days (+30 day extension) Visa in my home country, but I'm going to stay in Thailand for 180 days, What is my best options I'm 50+ year...

Get the STV visa in your home country...

Gives you up to 270 days stay...9 months in Thailand.

It cannot be extended beyond the 270 days and cannot be changed into any other visa inside Thailand.

Louise Morresey Yes, you can leave Thailand before the in-country Non-O visa based on whatever reason expires.

Of course, that depends if the immigration office you're using will sell the in-country Non-O visa.

John M Jom if you need to change visas then you have chosen correctly. You cannot change from an STV. Good luck 😉

John M Jom you need to select tourist visa and then (stays not over 90 days) This is the STV.

John M Jom be aware you cannot change the STV to ANY other visa, in country. If that's what you want to do, you need a different visa.
