What are my options for extending my Non-O ME visa in Thailand during the virus outbreak?

Hello,

I'm currently in Thailand with a Non-O ME visa (Marriage with a Thai). I am not on an extension. In light of the virus outbreak I want to switch to using an extension. I have recently transferred enough funds for the 400k thb however my current visa entry stamp runs out on April the 19th. My visa itself is valid until May 1st. The money will be seasoned in May.

I'm wondering what options would be available

* Could I get a 30 day extension and then apply for a marriage extension?

* My visa is still valid, should I fly out and in tomorrow (or border etc)?

To make things a little bit more confusing, I currently have two and a half passport pages, how many pages are required for the extension?

Thanks,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on extending their Non-O ME visa due to the approaching expiration and the requirement for seasoned funds. The discussion suggests options such as applying for a 60-day Family Visit Extension to gain time for the necessary bank seasoning before moving on to a marriage extension, as well as the possibility of a border run for a new stamp. It is also noted that a minimum of half a passport page is required for the extension process.

For extension, you need half page minimum. To get an extension being married to Thail national you will be under consideration period first, so from now you need at least 3 extension stamps. be prepared for getting new passport as soon as possible.

Noted, I'll apply for this as soon as I have received my 60 day extension.

It is not unusual to apply first for the 60 days Extension of Stay based on family visit to gain time to season the money in the bank.

Then apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on being married with a Thai national, using the 400.000 Thb in a Thai bank account for at least 2 months prior the appliation,

Awesome, I think this is the route I will take then, a lot less friction.

You could apply for the Family Visitation Extension at your local Thai Immigration office. Gives you 60 days extension.

This sounds optimal, can I then apply to change the reason for my extension to marriage with a Thai?
