One year extension for marriage expires on January 19. Won’t have 400,000 in account for another 7 days. Used a 60 day extension to visit Thai family in November 2020 to season money. Can I extend 60 days to season the 400,000 baht? I just returned from the US after being away for 5 months

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on extending their marriage visa due to insufficient funds in their account until after the extension deadline. They inquire whether they can apply for a 60-day extension to allow time to season the required 400,000 baht in their account. Commenters suggest that it's possible to use the ‘visit Thai family’ extension if it hasn't already been used on this entry, and recommend considering the 'Covid' extension as it could provide additional time to gather the required funds.

My friend in the same position last year. They allowed him the Covid extension which have him 60 days to get the funds.

You can use the “visit Thai family “ extension once per entry, so if you haven’t used it this time you could do so. Also until January 25th you can apply for the “Covid” extension, which might be a better option first.

Prachinburi immigration is not helpful. They make up their own rules. Need more than 7 days. Cant go to immigration until I get out of quarantine next week

go talk to immigration. In your situation with a Thai wife, and take your wife with you, they are very helpful, and will do what needs to be done so you get the extra 7 days needed, and more. They can make exceptions and give you extensions when they want to. In years past, in a very similar situation, I was given an extra 30 day extension when it was taking a long time getting the documents from the property owner where I rent. Go talk to them with your wife. They can be very helpful, and take your bank statement so they can see the problem, and that you do have the money.
