Is the 800k deposit method really straightforward for the Non-O visa extension process?

Sticking to the same theme of the 'Non-O Extension' 12 MONTH BANKING (yep, I did a search) 800k Route

I just hopped onto my BKK bank app, requested a full year's statement, and boom—I got it in 2 minutes flat. My entire account history is right there on 13 pages.

Is this all we need, along with a bank verification letter? Could it really be this simple after everything I've read?

UPDATE: "No" is the answer. It's not that easy!!. I went to Bangkok Bank today and ordered the 12 month statements that should be here in 5-7 days!! I am on the 800k deposit system. In the old days I MIGHT! have spent a few hours faking the "no-harm" bank statement... NOT TODAY :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the process of obtaining a Non-O visa extension through the 800k deposit method in Thailand. Initially, the user thought requesting a full year's bank statement digitally was all that was needed, but updates from the community clarified that immigration requires printed statements and additional bank verification letters. Comments emphasize the importance of following the official process, including needing bank statements showing foreign deposits, and the complications that can arise if one is not meticulous in preparing the required documents.

I have all my copies ready. When I walk in with a 'log' and they ask why I'm carrying a log, I'll say "if you ask for anything else, I will need to start on another tree!"

It is that simple...the bank charges a couple of hundred baht for the service be it on line or in person

Make sure it shows the entire history from the date of your last extension forward, even then immigration most likely will want it authenticated by the bank

, since it will be 11 months and 2 weeks since issue; the 12 months are covered (but I will verify)

I had a situation last year where bangkok bank managed to lose the statements I ordered and I cut it a bit tight with my funds transfer so didn't have time to get the bank re-issue in the normal way si I tried this method and got the bank to stamp them but immigration wouldn't accept them because there was a week not covered in the month of my earlier extension. Back to the bank and asked them if they could get HO to email the statements to them, not allowed to email they said, must send by post. After a bit of persistence I discovered that while they couldn't get them emailed to the branch they could get them emailed to me when they do the overnight statement run. Went to the branch next day, waited for the email to arrive, gave it to the bank clerk who printed it out the hot tailed it to immigration on the last day of my extension. All was well in the end but I'll never leave it that close again

your download will not be accepted by immigration. You need two letters on bank letterhead, one stating that the account is yours only, and the other showing your balance for the last two months minimum if this is your first one year extension, and twelve months if this is another one year extension, and, these letters at most immigration offices can be no older than seven days old. You also need an updated bank book showing the current balance on the day you apply. You can not use any printout you get from the banking app on the internet.

if you do all your banking online, or at ATM machines for cash, throughout the year, then when you update your bank book, it only has the last three months of transactions, not the whole year.

I only update my book once a year so it doesn't show most transactions

You have to get the statement printed from the bank. Immigration don't accept internet PDFs. Still a very simple process

The account I use has a total of about 48 transactions. It's two pages. Immigration don't want any copies. You've been listening to the bullshitters again! But carry on spreading it! 😂😂😂

I'm just used to the whiners who perpetually complain about immigration. I've been here 15 years and have had very few problems. I'm convinced that most of the complaints are either self-inflicted or fabticated

Which method are you trying to use banked (฿800K) or income 12 deposits (฿65K)? If it is income you need a special statement from your Thai bank showing only the foreign 12 deposits. The 12 deposits must already be shown prior to applying.

I've done the 65k method and didn't need a special statement showing only the 12 transactions. Perhaps this is particular to some offices.

I am just doing the 800k. The download shows the 3 months after and the 2 months before requirement. This is good, since last time I updated my passbook it skipped a month of activity which might look suspicious, so this is good.
