My son will turn 20 yo in October, visa renewal in August.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general age limit for a child to obtain a Non-O visa as a dependent is 20 years. However, special circumstances may apply for disabled children. In this case, the individual's son, who is a non-verbal disabled person, may have eligibility for a Non-O visa due to his incapacitated status as documented by a court ruling.

I didn't mention, that my son is a disabled person (non-verbal with ASD), I'm his only legal guardian - have a Court Ruling, saying he's " totally incapacitated due to profound intellectual disability". (Courl ruling from Poland, translated to English)
at the very least you will need his medical records, and then confirmation by a Thai medical doctor that he is disabled and can not take care of himself.
Thanks. I was also thinking, they may proceed his visa as always, since his 20th birthday is in October, but visa renewal in August. Depends on a good will of the immigration officer ๐
