I am planning to get a retirement visa. I have heard of trailing spouse. Wonder if dependents are allowed to go under my retirement visa. My son has a disability and needs me to be his caregiver.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question involves getting a retirement visa in Thailand and inquiring whether a disabled child can be a dependent under that visa category. A comment suggests that a certification or proof might be needed to include the child as a dependent under the retirement extension, and seeks clarification on whether the child can apply for a Non-O visa.

Your child can be dependant on your retirement extension if you can get a certification or some other proof. What I need help from

is: whether your child apply Non-O visa in Thailand.

we already have non-O volunteer visa and he is a dependent under volunteer visa. I’m hoping to convert to retirement but I’m not sure if dependents are allowed in this visa category.

dependant on retirement holder is allowed. The question is if you and your child can convert your Non-O volunteer and dependant on Volunteer to your Non-O retirement and dependant on retirement. Go to the immigration office and talk IO if it can be done in-country.

that I do not know, sorry, and I think IF they are out of the country it would be better for BOTH of them to apply for the Non-O's from the thai consulate where they are before they come here.
