This is a good group. I always read the posts but today I have a question. I have a Thai son 22 years old. What kind of visa does that entitle me to?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is inquiring about visa options available based on having a Thai son who is now 22 years old. Responses indicate that the Non-Immigrant O visa, typically available for parents of Thai children, has an age limit; specifically, the child must be under 20 years old to qualify for a yearly extension. Therefore, since the son exceeds this age, the visa options may be limited, and it is advised to check with the Thai embassy for specific eligibility requirements.
pointed out, you could get a Non-Immigrant Type O visa from a thai consulate BEFORE you wing your way here. That would give you 90 days here and then you could extend it by 60 more days based on visiting family BUT you couldn't qualify for a yearly extension because the age limit to use half thai children as a reason for a yearly extension is 20 (and they have to live with you too).
The so called guardian visa, Non Immigrant O based on children depending on you and the Extension of Stay are limited to the age of the children of 20 years of age. If you're son is 22 years old this visa is not for you.
