As of now, it is not possible to do a visa run from Ranong. Only Thai and Myanmar nationals are currently allowed to cross the border, despite some speculation about future openings.

Yes but from my understanding, Thai nationals can only cross to visit the islands, not Kawthoung and Burmese aren't allowed to enter Thailand this way except under MOU/work permit/labor visa holders. This border hasn't officially opened yet.
