I was planning to go to Kawthoung, Myanmar for Visa run tomorrow and was informeHere d the Myanmar borders are closed. Is this true?

I just found this link which is very useful. We all can get at least 7 days extension without border run!

Maybe someone did nor tell the Myanmar boarder that is was closed . My friend just did the run today.

That is the recent update on the IATA website (which is about flying in BUT concerns entry to burma)

MYANMAR - published 15.03.2020

1. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) traveling to Myanmar can no longer obtain a visa on arrival.

2. Passengers arriving from China (People's Rep.) on any Chinese airline can no longer obtain a visa on arrival.

3. All passengers arriving from France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Spain are subject to quarantine in isolated hospital for 14 days.

i agree a lot of gossip, i just prefer not to go on any border now and stay calm. I dont think that they will punish for overstay.

Christ I had to Google it to find out. How about you just say you're border bouncing in Ranong :P (seeing as you can't BUY a visa in Myanmar)
