ORIGINAL POSTER
Is the non-immigrant O dependent visa accessible only to a spouse of someone working in Thailand or also accessible to long term partners?

Alternatively - If a couple wants to come over and only 1 is planning to work here what's the best solution visa wise for the unemployed partner?

(* I'm already in Thailand, this is for someone else :))

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non-Immigrant O dependent visa is accessible only to legally married spouses of individuals working in Thailand, as clarified in the community responses. For long-term partners who are not married, options like the multi-entry tourist visa or the Elite visa are suggested as alternatives for the unemployed partner accompanying someone working in Thailand.
