Is the current Non-Immigrant O multi-entry visa the same as the old version that required leaving every 90 days?

Hi

I was granted a Non-Immigrant O multi entry visa from the Thai embassy London on the 1st April 2022. The visa states it must be used by 31st March 2023. The length of stay is 90 days. Dose anyone know if this is the same as the old Non-Immigrant O multi entry visa, valid for a year but had to leave the country every 90 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the status of their Non-Immigrant O multi-entry visa granted by the Thai embassy, seeking to understand if it functions similarly to an older version of the visa that required leaving the country every 90 days. Comments suggest that the current visa is indeed valid for 90 days upon entry and requires border crossing to reset the stay duration, while also noting the necessity to check in with immigration every 90 days.

I think every 90 days have to check in with immigration office

No , because you cannot stay longer than 90 consecutively days in the country with this visa.

Certainly sounds like it. 90 days on entry. Pop across a border and reenter to activate another 90 days. Except finding that border is tricky these days.

that's what I thought i was applying for but it's quite confusing the way it is worded. It's an e visa btw

If it says it's valid for 90 days then it's valid for 90 days. Does it say single entry or multiple entry on it?

Nope

. It's an O visa. These ones I did not see for a long time, because landborders are closed and re-entry via air, is difficult because every time you need the entry requirements for Thailand. The visa is valid for 1 year and let you stay for 90 days. After those 90 days, people go to another country and every time you enter Thailand, you got another 90 days. So if you just did it before the experation date of the visa (so after 1 year), you could get almost a year and 3 months out of it.

already mentioned it.

that's the thing it doesn't say how long it's valid for, just says "must be used by 31 March 2023" & "length of stay 90 days" its a multi entry e visa

If it's valid until March 2023 then it's a 1 year visa... if it says multiple entry then it's multiple entry. I assume it's a Non-OA.
