Reapplication for 30-day extension of overstay amnesty using embassy support letter: last I saw ppl were being told to return mid-month, 11th? Is this still the case? How long does IB consider Emb Supp Lett valid? Mine is dated 1 Sep. Is it better to go now, log a visit and be told to return or wait? BTW props to US consul getting these letters out very fast.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the reapplication process for a 30-day extension of overstay amnesty using an embassy support letter. They are wondering if recent reports about needing to return mid-month (specifically on the 11th) are still accurate and how long the Immigration Bureau considers the support letter valid, given that theirs is dated September 1st. Additionally, the user seeks advice on whether to visit now or wait for further instructions.

As most people just make up new names for common stamps, are to shy to inform why application is made, are randomly showing different stamps but theirs is very special and a one of a kind achievement of their own efforts, there is no way to find a common sense path used by Immigration.

All we can say good luck.
