Advice please for a newbie going to Thailand on 21 February (hopefully ๐ค) from the UK.
I understand UK Citizens have to fly direct to Thailand.
1. Is it only Thai Airways who fly direct?
2. Going on an O-A visa (Retirement) which I will complete Monday or Tuesday once I receive my Health Insurance certifications, is 3 weeks long enough to send passport to Thailand Embassy and receive back and also then obtain the COE?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post seeks advice from the community regarding travel to Thailand from the UK, specifically on direct flight options and the processing time for an O-A visa (Retirement) application. Comments clarify that several airlines, including Eva Air and British Airways, offer direct flights, though availability may fluctuate due to ongoing restrictions. There's also discussion about the timeline for obtaining health insurance and a Certificate of Entry, with consensus that three weeks should be sufficient if all paperwork is complete.

Be careful there one of my friend have a a girlfriend there in thailand he build a house and buy a car but ofcourse he put the name to his girlfriend but sad to say , that after all done his girlfriend friend sold the house and car and run away.until now his there waiting for the results of the judge.
Up until the new restrictions in the UK you could fly via any approved route. Many used Dubai or Doha, but Iโm not sure if Emirates and Qatar are flying to UK now.
thai is flying only on Sunday - though I've recently spotted a midweek flight too ... however this isn't appearing on the schedules (possibly a freighter?)
