TLDR : Answer Summary
The British Embassy's letter for staying in Thailand is generally issued for a single-use duration, usually around 30 days. The exact length can vary based on the immigration office's discretion and the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Some embassies provide letters that may need to be renewed every month depending on travel restrictions, as determined by local immigration policies.
WHY is everybody only interested in how long these letters lest for, how many of these letters in consecutive applications a person can get, how many months can i use this to live in Thailand?
Thailand is trying to protect everybody inside the country for a deadly virus and if you do not have any valid reason to stay inside Thailand you should find a way home as almost every Government asked their citizens. Time to focus your energy on important things in live.
remember extensions based on clause 2.28 (embassy request) due to being unable to travel because of covid-19 are issued for UP TO 30 days at a time. It totally depends on your immigration office how many days they give you (some are giving 15 days then having you come back when that runs out to get the other 15 days)..
I’ve asked Dutch Embassy and they said it’s for single use, because the expiry date will change. It’s to early to know how Immigrations will act on it.
