UK citizen in Chiang Mai intending to apply shortly for 60 day Covid extension. Have tried very hard to find info on UK, Embassy Thailand website about a letter stating unable to travel, have seen on this group that they are not issuing them. Is there any link showing this that I can print something to show CM IMM, that letter is not available? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen in Chiang Mai is inquiring about the process for applying for a 60-day Covid extension and is specifically looking for information about obtaining a letter from the UK Embassy stating they are unable to travel. Comments indicate that the UK Embassy has not been issuing such letters, and the Chiang Mai immigration officers are generally aware of this, suggesting that a Covid extension request form can be filled out instead. Additionally, a link to the UK Embassy's services is provided for further clarification.

not to be judgemental BUT you sure didn't look carefully..

If you were on the link Ben provided you would have scrolled down to Notary and Documentary service (because you need notarized document from them)

THEN when you clicked that link you would have gotten a list of services and see the covid extension link

then when you clicked that you woulda gotten this

Print that just in case you have to show it to them.. BUT I think you don't in Chiang Mai.

The British Embassy, like the Australian, will not issue a letter saying you can't fly, because it's a blatant lie. They have to consider things from a diplomatic point of view

The officers at Chaing Mai shouldn't even ask you about it, they know the Uk consulate hasn't been issuing letters for a good long while. They'll hand you the "coivd extension request" form that you mark the boxes on why you want the extension.
