TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on whether living in Ireland affects their visa exemption duration upon entering Thailand. Responses confirm that the user will receive a 60-day visa exemption if their passport is from a visa-exempt country, indicating that the current residence does not impact this rule.
Thanks Bonnie...Last time I looked for the Thai Embassy in Ireland it said to contact the Thai Embassy in the UK. For that reason I try to avoid it for fear of complications as to what applies in the UK and what might not apply to Ireland.
Thank you Bonnie...but it's Not part of Great Britain...they say it because the Thai Embassy closed in Ireland a few years ago (methinks).

Where you live now doesn't matter. It's all about what passport you have. If your passport is from a visa exempt nation, then you will receive a 60 day stamp if you arrive without a visa.
Thank you Brandon...That even answered another thing I was wondering about. If I stopped off on the way and booked another flight to Thailand from a non-exempt country ....Would it be my passport country that mattered rather than the country I bought the ticket in...Cheers and thanks again.
