Has anyone heard anything about Pattaya opening up for tourists with a vaccine passport in October with no quarantine required?
It's mentioned on the government website but I don't see confirmation yet.

TLDR : Answer Summary
There are rumors about Pattaya potentially opening for vaccinated tourists in October without quarantine, as mentioned on a government website. However, comments express skepticism due to the current COVID-19 situation in Thailand, including surging cases and ongoing restrictions. Some users reference the experience with Phuket Sandbox, suggesting that official announcements may come closer to the date. There is a general consensus that any optimistic predictions need to be taken with caution given the present context.
I am asking because untied and holidays nothing gets done with immigration

It should happen - if acting based on facts. And the facts are: From those thousands who entered Phuket Samdbox, only 0.2% got tested positive later - that is only 1 in 500. So inviting good quality fully vaccinated people into the country is safe. And even if very few of them catch it, they very likely catch it mildly. So time to move forward with the plan and open. All you no-sayers … the current problems are local mismanagement, not imported issues.
Not going to happen... It's all touristy hype .. Not based on fact... The current COVID outbreak is serious. Hopefully by early 2022 we may see reopening of Thailand 🙏🙏🙏

All part of the opening Thailand in 120 days target I guess. Whether it will happen we can't be sure.

Pattaya (and the rest of Thailand) had a record number of cases today. Curfew from 9pm to 4am, the majority of businesses are closed, so are the beaches and nobody has an idea if and when vaccinations start. So, best to take anything you hear with a grain of salt (better perhaps with a bucket of the stuff).
good for you, but I’m sure you know that the beaches in Chonburi (Pattaya) were closed last week. I got fully vaccinated before I returned to Thailand.
Please share for those who want to get vaccinated where you got yours - no point bragging here…
Phuket Sandbox they only announced couple of days before full info.
Its wait and see you have to remember the same man that said Thailand would be fully open in October is the same man who made a speech to UN in 2010 vowing to halve deaths on Thailands roads by 2020
