Will I be able to fly to Phuket from Bangkok without staying in a SHA hotel after the October 15 reopening?

Hi, I have a question that somebody might be able to answer.

When Bangkok opens up to international travel on October 15 without restrictions and flying in with full vaccination, will I be able to fly to Phuket 3 days later with a negative PCR test and not have to stay in a SHA hotel? Still not sure if that will be possible.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility of traveling from Bangkok to Phuket just days after Bangkok's reopening to international travel on October 15, specifically without needing to stay in a SHA hotel if they are fully vaccinated and have a negative PCR test. Community responses are mixed, expressing skepticism about the feasibility of such travel due to ongoing COVID-19 cases and potential government restrictions.

I doubt it will happen this year without any quarantine in Bangkok

With a Vaccination passport , you can move anywhere within the Kingdom .

Sorry if It's a Silly Question, but the Vaccination Passport was Scrapped By the UK government (TingTong Boris) Johnson - Is there a separate Thai Style Vaccination Passport I'm not aware off - Silly Question......... ?

@Declan **********
Yes ..

And in case you are wondering , they do call it a vaccine passport ,but it's for movement around Thailand , hard copy .

Yes UK dropped the idea as just too hard .

50 barht for public hospital .

Hey James..which lines are you talking about because I really can’t see Bangkok listed between any of those lines 🤣

Gary Roth sorry... You are right. That is the outline of several of the proposed post Phuket sandbox plans.

And with that I promise not to speak again of Bangkok reopening as it appears you have all the bases covered

Good luck and I do hope you get to enter Bangkok in October without any need for restricting movement.

Thanks James. Since I have to make a decision soon, I think I’m gonna play it safe and change my airline reservations, for the 11th time, to arrive after January 1st. 🤞🏻

James Miller alot of people would be discouraged by this to even bother coming ..

If Bkk did reopen like the Sandbox I would think you have to stay in that area 14 days? Just an opinion??

@Gene *********
lack of control will mean failed plan for Bangkok if free to roam for 14 days in Bangkok.

It will be targeted for prepaid packaged tour groups for set # of days in Bangkok under Follow the Flag tour guide with all arriving together and leaving together IMHO

This is not the way to control Covid. I think to show a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours before arriving, a rapid antigen test at the airport on arrival and to make sure all tourists can show a 2 shot vaccination card in their COE or at least on arrival. It’s not the tourists bringing Covid in and they’re also not the ones clustering.

Oh yea, I’ve seen that one many times before.

Pardon me for laughing 😁... Ain't going to happen as you wish.

I too am hopeful some reopening will happen in coming weeks and months. But it will be copied after the Phuket sandbox...in Samui, Hua Hin...

And prepackaged tours for Bangok, Chiang Mai and Pattaya IMHO.
