Is it true that each entry into Thailand grants 180 days, and does re-entry reset the count?

Hi,Is it true that each entry into Thailand grants 180 days? If I stay in Thailand for two months and then leave, will the 180 days be reset upon re-entry?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Each entry into Thailand can grant a 180-day stay, particularly for those on a DTV visa. If you leave Thailand after staying for two months and then re-enter, you can receive a new 180-day stamp. This has been confirmed by multiple users who have successfully re-entered Thailand after leaving, each time receiving a fresh stamp for 180 days.

people have already gotten the DTV visa entered got stamped in 180 days, left / came back got a NEW 180 day stamp no issue at all

Someone who goes to Singapore every week has been in and out I think 6 times so far on their DTV and they get a new 180 day stamp every time

Any reports of DTV holders being hassled by notoriously grumpy Bangkok immigration officers for lots of entries/a long visa history in Thailand? I would think having a DTV would necessitate easy entry but..

its a visa that's been in existence 83 days, I'd say we're pretty early on to be asking that 😛

On their first entry, I mean - i.e someone having trouble entering on a DTV for the first time and having trouble because of past, non-DTV entries? Heard of any reports of such?

nope, some people foolishly didn't PRINT the PDF of the DTV that was emailed to them, got bad stamped and then had to go back to get it corrected, but that visa seems to get people right in
