Hello, i'd like staying in Thailand until September 30th 2019. I have been travelling in Thailand since 15 november2018 I crossed two time the border with exemption visa (extended once), did a ED visa (cannot not extend). I thought doing a border run and extend it and after making a tourist visa and extend it again. 1) Do you think my plan is realisable without issues at the border or Do you have another solution which fit more my purpose 2) Which is the embassy with less requirements? ( I would like especially avoiding the proof of onwards journey. I will cross border by land)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about extending their stay in Thailand until September 30, 2019, after previously using an exemption visa and an ED visa. They are considering a border run and applying for a tourist visa but express concerns about potential issues at the border due to their entry history. Commenters suggest that the user may face scrutiny from immigration officials given their extended stay and history of border crossings. They also inquire about the embassy with fewer requirements for a tourist visa and receive advice that Vientiane offers a simpler process with appointments needed. Additionally, the two-land border entry rule is discussed.
You say you arrived into Thailand in 15 November 2018 and plan to live in Thailand until 30 September, 2019 using 30.days exempt entries with extensions and an Ed Visa. Now you want a Tourist Visa. Frankly speaking with your entry history, and will have lived in Thailand 10

months, I think you are at greater risk of questioning by Thai Immigration. Be prepared if asked to show 20,000 Thai baht CASH or equivalent, proof of planned stay and TICKET for onward travel OUT of Thailand.
Even with a valid issued Tourist Visa, the decision to allow you reentry is up to the Immigration Officer upon your arrival.
I obtained a valid ED visa but I cannot extend it because of their mistake. Didnt really choose it... I just hope having luck when crossing border ๐ค. Which kind of proof can i show for the place I stay? My girlfriend rent a condo
They forgot to submit my passport and departure card (thai language)Just wanted to learn enough to speak and read basics ... I join all classes but was tired about the situation and asked for a refund. So my student visa will finish on 19 th may. After i need something else. Don't wanna go to study at university, i have already a degree and just want travelling. I got a visa in Australia for 1 year, can I show them that as a proof of onwards travel?
I am curious as to WHY the school did not submit documents for Ed Visa extension ??? Did you attend classes as required? Schools are in the business of educating and collecting $$$ from students. What course of study were you taking? Thai language?
Muay Thai? You may want to look at another school...or another subject. Also available for those really wanting to study are the four year universities in Thailand. As their school terms are to start now or in coming month, now would be a good time to visit a campus registrars office.
Yes I know just want advice and best options to cross the boarder. I did 1 exemption in 2018. I enter one time with exemption in 2019. I have to cancel my study visa because the school didn't submit all documents to the ministry of education so i cannot extend... Do you have another option for me?

You are only allowed TWO LAND BORDER entries into Thailand in a calendar year. You say you have already done TWO. Were they both in 2019?

The Thai consulate with the less requirements is in Vientiane. But you have to make an appointment first:
