Hi guys

Did a 30 days exempt stamp on May - then an extension at Chiang Mai immigration and a run in Chiang Khong  30 days last month.

Going to Vientiane tomorrow on appointment with Thai embassy Monday for get a tourist visa. 

I sill wonder if i absolutely need to do a visa or can i simply in and out and get 60 days exempt again since i read on my many posts that there isn't limit on it by land either.

I just had one run border this year.

Also as a proof on onward travel, can a bus ticket to Cambodia play to trick or is that best to book a flight ticket ?

You can start the same 60 days exempt Visa like before. But there is 1 option. You have to stay minimum 1 night in the other country (e.g. Laos).

Citizens of 93 countries receive a 60-days stamp each time they enter Thailand. After that, you can extend your stay in Thailand for another 30 days (1900 THB at each immigration). If you want to stay longer, you can repeat this procedure if you leave Thailand for at least 24 hours.

I think that you don't need the TH Embassy. Just sleep one night in a nice accommodation. Good Luck !😅

last question.. Can this work if I go Huay Xia and pass Chiang Khong border ??? It's far closer for me.

Sorry, but I've never been there. But if there is an official border crossing, why not! Wherever you cross the border it all depends on the officer of the immigration.

Feedbacks are that there’s no official limit by land borders anymore, yet there’s no official statement regarding this. You’ve only done one border run and stayed 90 (or 120 days in total) and should be fine with another border bounce and a new 60 days visa exemption.

I enter in May 10. I will eventually ask the officer on leaving at border. I still appointment on Monday at TH embassy. Thanks.
