How can I extend my stay in Thailand on a Tourist Visa after multiple entries?

Hi all! Looking for advice on Tourist Visas please.

I flew into Phuket in November. Got 30 day visa. Extended it with immigration. Flew out to KL overnight, returned and gained another 30 day visa. I then extended that one at immigration. So I'm coming to the end of 4 months here.

I'm looking to find a way to get at least another 30 days. I'm worried about flying in and out of KL again as i've been told they're stricter at airports than on land, and that I should do the package border run at Penang which takes about 2 days all in I'm told.

I have a British passport.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Okay, you can get with an British passport 2 times a 30 day Visa Exempt Entry in one calendar year when you use a land border.

There is no limit on how many 30 day Visa Exempt Entries you can use by flying into Thailand.

Part of the job description of Immigration Officers is to check if the person is using the visa that fits the length and purpose of the visit.

By keep on flying out and in, or doing border runs to extend you stay inside Thailand without getting a visa, has its limits. When the Immigration Officer is going to tell you no more abuse, is up to the officer and I can not predict. But the time will come. Good luck.

Do a Border bounce to Myanmar (kanchanaburi border)

I'm on the way back from it. It is easy, no stress at all, and safer than flying

you need to pay attention to the location IN thailand that people say they are at. A border bounce to the Phu Nam Ron Border in Kanchanaburi is hardly advisable from Phuket :O

You don't have any visa. All your enter is on visa exempt scheme.

Is that's all your history of entering Thailand?

Nobody can tell you how it would go.

What is your real question?

You cannot get tourist visa just entering Thailand. What you are going to do is visa exempt entry.

And how you want to enter Thailand again is your decision. Nobody can tell you how it would go for sure.

From your history, maybe, might be able to enter by air with not much problem (could be a little). But make sure you have three proof-of-s (proof of accomodation, proof of onward travel within 30days, proof of funds of cash 20K thb or equivalent).

OR Getting SETV at KL (meaning go to Thai embassy to apply Single Entry Tourist Visa which gives you 60days on entry) and fly back could be one of the ways.

OR go to Rayong to do border bounce, it wouldn't require overnight stay.

OR border run at any border of your choice by yourself.

etc, etc...

Well I'm asking is it worth risking flying to KL again and returning the next day? Or should I pay for a Visa Run service and go to Penang by land and return in order to get a new tourist entry visa
