Hi there, I have a question please. So I've got a Single entry tourist visa which I can get 90 days out of (60 +30 extension). My question is would I have any problems do you think doing a border run for an extra 30 days after my initial 90 days is up (Im looking at taking a flight from BKK and returning same day).....do you guys think there would be any problems there? Thanks for any advice ๐Ÿ‘

TLDR : Answer Summary
The OP is asking if they would face issues while attempting a border run to extend their stay in Thailand after their single-entry tourist visa expires. Responses indicate that the outcome depends on individual circumstances, such as previous entry history and the discretion of the immigration officer. There are suggestions to consider land border bounces instead of flying, and advice on applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) for a longer stay.

I believe that the OP has the answers needed for his questions. We wish you success in your planned stay in Thailand.

It's safer to do a Land BORDER BOUNCE vs flying into Thailand in obtaining a New Visa Exempt Entry stamp of 30 days.

You did not say what your passport nation is... And I assume that it is the UK.

You also did not say what your recent history of staying in Thailand is...in 2022- 23.

AND you should have applied for the METV multiple entry tourist visa in your home country vs the SETV single entry tourist visa. With planning the METV multiple entry tourist visa can get you up to 9 months stay in Thailand with a few simple land border bounces and re-enter Thailand.

Good Luck with your plan for staying longer in Thailand.

For Future reference... read this post about getting the METV multiple entry tourist visa.

There is no real answer, ๐Ÿ˜• and just because one person or 1000 people skated in with your entry history doesn't mean YOU will get treated the same.

Just a note to everyone, we don't do that "how did it go for you", or "what do you think of this plan" sort of posts.. Those are worthless as far as any good advice ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

We get people wanting to ask questions like this all the time..

Most of the time we don't even let them on the group because whether you will or won't have an issue flying back in after just spending 3 months here is going to be up to the person stamping you in at passport control.

Depends on your previous entry history (before this 3 months) what airport you fly into (avoid BKK or DMK as a rule) and as I said it comes down to the officer you're standing in front of when you stamp in.

Believe me you're far safer to use a company that specializes in border bouncing and do a LAND entry (which you're allowed two free 30 day entry stamps per year) than you are trying to fly out and right back in

Even waiting a few days before you fly in isn't gonna fool any one at passport control, they'll know you just did it to get a free 30 day entry stamp ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜• )
