What are the rules for extending my stay in Thailand after multiple land border bounces?

Hiho...

Okay, so here's what I've done so far (visa exemptions each time):

Arrived beginning of July + 30 day extension.

Land border bounce via Burma in Sept + 30 day extension

Land bounce via Burma in Nov

probably will add a 30 day extension

My question is, am I allowed to stay in Thailand any longer?

As of 2016, I think I am only allowed to do 2 land bounces per calendar year, so I cannot do any more (correct?).

Can I go to the Burmese consulate and apply for an actual visa? Would they grant it? If not would I even be able to get back in to retrieve my stuff?

If I went on 'vacation' to Cambodia for a few weeks, would that still count as a land bounce and be denied?

Could I do an air border bounce?

Frankly, I only really want to be here until the END of January, where right now I would have to be out by the BEGINNING of January. What would be the BEST course of action?

Thanks for the insight <3

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shares their timeline of visa exemptions and land border bounces in Thailand and seeks clarity on staying longer. Key points include that as of 2016, individuals can only perform two land border entries per calendar year for 30-day extensions. Suggestions made include planning a holiday abroad, applying for a 60-day Single Entry Tourist Visa at a Thai consulate, and noting that denied entries prevent returning to collect personal belongings.

Unfortunately you did not indicate the dates, but on 1st Jan you can do the first entry in 2018. The law specify TWO land border entries for 30 days per calendar year.

You can only enter Thailand by border twice a calendar year. So if you Extend your bounce in Nov with another 30 days, go on holiday for a few weeks it will be January and the begin of a new calendar year. Going to the Burmese Consulate does not help you to get a Visa for Thailand, better to visit a Thai consulate where you can apply for a 60 day Single Entry Tourist Visa. If you get denied entry, your entry is denied, there is no option to go inside Thailand and collect some stuff laying around.
