I’m an Aussie here with my Romanian partner on tourist visas. Is she able to get a two week extension or just seven days? Going into immigration at Koh Samui

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the ability of a Romanian tourist in Thailand, who entered on a Visa on Arrival, to extend her stay. It states that if she entered on a Visa on Arrival, she is allowed a 15-day stay and can extend her stay for an additional 7 days, but if she is on a regular tourist visa, she could have been eligible for a longer extension. Responses clarify the rules regarding visa types and extension possibilities.

And for the everyone THIS is the difference between a visa on arrival stamp (that let's people from 21 countries in for 15 days) and a 30 day visa exempt entry (that let's people from 46 countries in for 30 days)
If it's a visa on arrival, she first got 15 days and you can extend it for 7 days more, is she had tourist visa, she got 2 months in airport and then can extend another one month directly from inside Thailand.

let's just post an example of the stamp, you can read by your selves:

You don't get an extension. If you look at your stamp, it says extension denied.

The 7 days is an extension denied stamp

Visa on arrival. So do we apply for an extension anyway, get denied, then leave within seven days?

if on Tourist Visa than 30days extension. If she came in on Visa on arrival than a 7 days denial of extension.

What is a "tourist visa"? Is this a Visa on Arrival, or a Single Entry Tourist Visa?

if she entered on Visa on Arrival 15 days, she can't extend and should leave the country
