TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses whether it's necessary to file a TM30 form when staying in Thailand on a METV while frequently traveling domestically and abroad. Comments highlight that requirements may vary by immigration office. Some expats noted that filing a new TM30 may be required after any travel, including domestic, while others found it unnecessary unless interacting with immigration for extensions. The landlord's accessibility to handle the TM30 process is suggested as a solution.

I’ve found that every time I traveled inside Thailand and stayed at a hotel, even for 2 nights in the same province, then when doing 90 days check in, immigration has required me to reregister address. But if been registered I’ve left the country and returned to the same address and then do not travel for 90 days it has not been a problem. That’s only my experience though the same thing happened to my tenants and I had to reregister them. Does your landlord have an agent? Because I set up my agent will do it for my tenants for 500 baht just before they do their 90 days.

Fact is unless you want to obtain any 30 day extensions you would not need to deal with immigration. Nothing is actually necessary.

If you plan to deal with immigration for anything eg extension etc then you would require a TM30

If you are not going to use Immigration services for anything such as an Extension then don't worry

That's completely dependent on your immigration office.

Most require you to file a new TM30 when you leave Thailand and return, even if it is to the same address.

Some don't care where you go inside of Thailand as long as you return to the same address, but some require you to file a new TM30 even after domestic travel.

You can just have your landlord create an online account and send you the login information and you can do it yourself.
