Hi all, and thanks for the updates and advice freely given . .
I will be applying for The one year retirement Visa ( first time ), in March /April this year
I am currently in Thailand on a Non O
90 day Visa. . . .
Have I read correctly ( from various sources and posts ) that instead of a multiple entry one year Visa , it is more effective/cost efficient to obtain ( if possible and from where?) a number of re entry permits, each time I leave on a single entry one year Visa?
Hope this makes sense . .
Cheers, . .
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to apply for a one-year retirement visa in Thailand and is inquiring whether it's more cost-effective to obtain re-entry permits instead of a multiple-entry visa. Community members clarify that after receiving the one-year extension, a single re-entry permit costs 1,000 baht or a multiple re-entry permit costs 3,800 baht. They suggest evaluating personal travel habits to determine the best option, as there is flexibility in applying for re-entry permits.
