Re-entry Permit Question:

I have an extension of stay up to Jan 2022 (based on marriage). I must return to USA. I will apply for a re-entry permit. If I request single entry now, can I request another single entry later if needed, or does single entry now preclude another single entry permit? Does someone know the price difference, single vs multiple?

Also, 90 day notification is due in April 2021. If I am out of Thailand that date, what would I do?

Thank you for your advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the re-entry permit process in Thailand due to an upcoming trip back to the USA. They ask if requesting a single-entry permit excludes the possibility of getting another single-entry permit later, and if there's a price difference between single and multiple-entry permits. Users clarify that multiple single-entry permits can be requested, each valid up to the last day of the extension of stay. The cost is 1,000 THB for a single entry and 3,800 THB for multiple entries. Regarding the 90-day notification, it must be reported upon return to Thailand, as it cannot be filed while outside the country.

If you go out (good luck) 90 day reporting gets reset from the day of rentry.

You have two good answers...

Single reentry permit 1,000 Thai baht...Multiple reentry 3,800 Thai baht.

Safe travels

You can buy as many re-entry permits as you want. Ignore the 90 report while out of the country, report 90 days after you return

Yes you can, you can get unlimited single entry re-entry permits. They would be valid up to your last day on your extension of stay (Jan 2022).

>Does someone know the price difference, single vs multiple?

Re-Entry permits costs 1,000THB for a single entry, or 3,800 THB for a multiple entry. You can get these at *ANY* immigration office, OR at international airports (BKK sells them 24 hours a day).

>Also, 90 day notification is due in April 2021. If I am out of Thailand that date, what would I do?

You file a 90 day notification every 90 consecutive days you're in Thailand. You can not file a 90 day report while outside of the country. "Day one" would begin on whatever date you return to Thailand.
