I have done the re-entry permit at the airport in Bangkok for the first time and it was smoothe and easy

I highly recommend you to do it at the airport. You don’t loose days queuing in classic immigration centres

Most people buy it when they renew their visas, zero extra time

Days queuing? I got a multiple entry permit after a yearly extension at Chaengwattana. Took less than an hour. Much better than at the airport. Why give yourself extra things to do when the clock is already ticking?

Be sure to allow extra time when you are getting the re-entry permit at the BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport.

I did this last month at BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport at midnight, and there were 5 people ahead of me waiting for the re-entry permit to get processed and the stamp in the passport.

Fee of 1,000 Thai baht for the stamp and 200 Thai baht for staff to fill out the application and take your photo.
