TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion confirms that re-entry permits can be purchased at both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, operating 24/7, contrary to some beliefs that they must be obtained at local immigration offices like Chengwattana. Travelers should ensure they have a boarding card when purchasing at the airport, although there are notes about the reliability of airport services versus local office services.

I just go to my.local immigration office. The service at the airports is clearly unreliable in terms of whether they're open or not.
since they moved it to after the security screening. The information on Suvarnabhumi's website is wrong

Nkonfoma, the Lad Prao immigration office is for people from Cambodia, Lao and Burma for them to get their visa extensions and work permits. Foreigners from other countries can ONLY do a 90 day report there.
