Headed to Vietnam tomorrow for a little vacay and also to get a new 60-day tourist visa. For proof of where we are staying is it a bad idea to show our lease for our house? Or should I book a separate accommodation and cancel it after? Appreciate the advice! :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about the appropriateness of using their house lease as proof of accommodation for obtaining a 60-day tourist visa in Vietnam. A commenter mentions that there haven't been reports of issues with using a lease, stating that travelers are typically asked for onward travel rather than proof of accommodation or sufficient funds. This suggests that showing a lease might be acceptable.

Great! Thank you!

I haven't read any reports that said you couldn't show a lease as proof of lodging. In fact the last couple reports have said people were only asked for onward travel not proof of 20K baht or proof of lodging.

now that they reported they weren't asked for those 3-proof-ofz should not be interpreted as you won't be asked either. You might very well be asked, I was only relating what people reported :)
