Is a letter from my embassy enough to extend my visa in Thailand during COVID-19?

If I have a letter from my embassy requesting for an extension of my visa... Just that.. they don't mention any medical issues or that is not possible for me to return for closed borders or something like that...

Is that enough? How can I know if that would be accepted?

Is anyone going soon to immigration that could do me the favour of asking? :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The acceptance of a visa extension request with just a letter from your embassy largely depends on the discretion of the immigration officer. While some have reported rejections despite having such letters, the requirements during COVID-19 could vary, and specifics such as mentioning COVID in the letter may be crucial. It's recommended to apply for the extension as soon as possible and ensure all necessary forms are filled out.

, okay, dial back the paranoia a bit and realize that each embassy's letter looks a little different. Asking what one letter looked like compared to yours isn't gonna help you one bit.

GO to the immigration office and apply for the 30 day embassy request extension SOONER rather than later..

The official rule is that all extensions applied for during this last round of amnesty will be dated as being effective from the 27th (the day after amnesty ends), so you should get an extension dated until the 26th of Oct no matter when you apply for it.

You really need to get your forms all filled out and book an appointment time on Monday. Just get it done sooner rather than later. I got my paperwork done last month when they were very quiet and it was extended last week. I’m hearing that others might be having issues now.

Or we could just get married, seems simpler

You won't. It is up to each immigration officer to decide if you should get an "under consideration" stamp for the amnesty extension using the embassy letter. I've seen reports of people from countries where they are issuing the letters being rejected.
