Hua Hin immigration asks for Embassy request letter for Covid 60 day extension.

Do they ask this for at every immigration? My consulate told me they don't provide it anymore but linked to a consent form from Thai Immigration.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the requirement for an embassy request letter when applying for a 60-day COVID-19 extension at Hua Hin immigration. While one user reports that the consulate no longer provides such letters, they received an email confirming that this could still be accepted. Other users share experiences at various immigration offices, confirming that approvals for extensions are common, especially given the pandemic circumstances.

I got the stamp that tells me to return on April 9th. Does that mean that I will be most likely getting the 30th May stamp then?

yes. I never heard of anyone being rejected for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19

Seems like they approved my application and I paid and now waiting for passport to be returned. Clarification. I am at the Prachuap Khiri Khan immigration. Outside the town. The Bluport immigration doesn't do other than the basic services.

sounds like you got the under consideration stamp! Just return on the date stamped and you’ll be fine.

Finnish/Finland. Luckily my embassy sent me an email that they don't write those request letters and that might be enough.

To my knowledge, all immigration offices may ask for an embassy request letter OR a letter/ statement from the embassy saying they don’t issue those letters.
