Hi, I am currently in BKK with my Israeli passport on a tourist visa on amnesty until 26 September. Unfortunately,
the Israel embassy refuses to issue letters although the virus situation in Israel is very serious and there will soon be a major lockdown there. There are also issues ordering flights, there are many cancellations and flights are long with many connections and regulations. I would like to stay here more until the issues resolve, what are my options? Do you think the Thai immigration would consider giving a 30 day extension without an embassy letter If I go there and talk with them?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking advice on extending their tourist visa in Thailand due to the embassy's refusal to issue a necessary letter amid a serious pandemic situation in Israel. They are uncertain if Thai immigration might grant a 30-day extension without the required embassy letter. Community comments suggest that while there may not be a straightforward solution, visiting immigration could be worth a try, though expectations for approval are low without proper documentation.
IF your embassy doesn't offer the letter that leaves you with getting a letter from a hospital/doctor OR preparing to depart on or by the 26th of Sept.
I would say NO, they won't but you're out nothing by going to Muang Thong Thani and asking them. This last amnesty is very specific and states that you either needed to sort out a long term extension, get a letter from your embassy for a 30 day embassy request extension, get a letter from a doctor or hospital for a medical extension OR prepare to depart on or by the 26th of Sept.
