TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether they can re-enter Thailand with their current visa if they apply for new health insurance. A comment clarifies that re-entry is allowed if the user enters before February 1, 2022, and has their OA compliant health insurance policy either extended or issued for one year.

Yes ...if you enter before February 1 2022 and have your OA compliant health insurance policy extended or issued for one year. It currently expires December 5. 2021.

Thai Immigration & Embassy use day/month/year . . . . unlike Americans who use month/day/year

If you look at the visa, it's in the date, then the month written out, then the year

correct. I was referring to the hand written date in Thai, where it says that her insurance is only valid until 12th of May. James interpreted it as the 5th of December

you will only be stamped in as long as your insurance is valid for. The maximum stamped in days are 365 days because you are still within the visa validity. In case you plan to leave Thailand, let's say, by April 2022, you can of course take up a new health insurance that is only valid until April 2022, and you will not get stamped in any longer than to April. You would have gained two entries with one visa, and would have avoided to pay for more months of health insurance than actually needed (admins please note: Germans can buy day-by-day foreign insurance)

Thanks, but I'm in Germany and wand to come in with this Visa, can I com in and make a new insurance? Or a totally new Visa ?

you must buy a new insurance valid from your planned day of entry for the full length of stay you are planning. If you enter Thailand before February 1st, you will get stamped in for a maximum of either 365 days or only for the lenght your insurance will be valid for . Your visa is still valid, and it is a "multi entry" visa, meaning you can enter as many times as you wish until the expiry date of the visa (which is Feb 1, 2022)

You'll need to come in with a new insurance policy :)

Oh... You only bought three months of insurance. Yes buy another policy effective when you arrive into Thailand. If you buy one year policy you will be stamped in for one full year... Arrive on or before Feb 1, 2022.

If you only get three months of insurance again...you will only be stamped in for three months.

... With no opportunity to extend the stay in Thailand again. Best to get one year insurance.

And will need a reentry permit to use during the second year of your OA. Single or multiple reentry.
