Hi I am staying in Cambodia and soon planning to go Thailand. I am a little lost in the requirements needed at the moment....

Health Insurance, Covid-19 vaccination certificate and PCR test?

for the health insurance, I found AXA Sawasdee Thai is the insurance recommended by the govt?

The vaccination certificate can be only the Cambodian vaccination card or it needs an International paper?

I am thinking to go maybe middle of june, and then again in august, is there any visa that covers both travels, or is it better to do one for june and then another for august?

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post discusses the travel requirements for individuals planning to travel from Cambodia to Thailand, including health insurance, COVID-19 vaccination certificates, and PCR test requirements. The AXA Sawasdee Thai health insurance is mentioned as a government-recommended option. Questions arise about the validity of the Cambodian vaccination card and considerations for visa types, including the possibility of a multiple entry tourist visa for travels in June and August.

AXA insurance would be fine. I don’t know about the Cambodian vax certificate. My guess if it’s written in English somewhere then it would be fine.

hi. If you are a filipino and got a 30 days visa on arrival after doing a border run from cambodia, can you extend it at the local immigration for 30days before it expires?

@Zen ****
Yes. 1,900 baht.

Depends on your nationality. You may be eligible for a visa exempt entry ( a pure guess but Japanese citizens are) where you don’t need a visa and can enter for 30 days (and get one 30 day extension from that in a local immigration office).

You could apply for a multiple entry tourist visa which is valid for 6 months and gives you 60 days on arrival each time (again extendable once each time). Whether they sell those in Cambodia I do not know.

Ah ok. Brazilians are one of three nations that have either a 30 day or 90 day exemption and I can’t say how either one works. If you’re vaxxed you don’t need a PCR test or do quarantine. You do however need a ThailandPass. AXA or LUMA seem to be mentioned most often in posts here. Sorry couldn’t comment on either one but both would suffice for entry.

FWD insurance is cheapest, it's on the Thai pass page when you go to apply.

thank you. And at the airport they are asking international certificate of vaccination or just the card can work?

@Yuri *********
You need to upload it to Thaipass, you can't get in without it. I used international QR code but there is an option to upload certificate. Just apply now and see what happens. I got my Thaipass in 4 hours.

It's free.
