Hi,

I have been in Thailand for more than 90 days with visa exemption + standard extension + covid extension. So I went to MTT to do my 90 days report as I thought it was required. When it was my turn, the lady at the counter told me that 90 days report are not required if you are not on a long term visa so I just left without anything done. Is that legit ?

I can understand the logic behind it as when you are on covid extensions you will always have to declare your current adress with TM30 every two months but I'm still puzzled.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a 90-day report in Thailand only applies to those holding long-stay visas. If you are on a visa exemption or have a standard extension along with a COVID extension, you are not mandated to file a 90-day report. This was confirmed by multiple users who noted that the requirement varies depending on the immigration officer's discretion, but generally, it does not apply to short-term visa holders.

well at least you asked and tried to do it, so you're covered

90-day.report is for long stay visas only, to my knowledge. As you don't have one, it shouldn't be a requirement.

For me, when I needed a stamp the lady said no problem after I fix my tm30. After a few hours, I came and the male officer told me to file the 90 days report at the same imigration. So, it is up to the officer.
