With regards to a 90 day report , if I entered Thailand on the 24th May on visa exempt and then extended another 30 days until July 22, and then did a Covid extension after that . Would my 90 day report have to be done counting from original entry on 24th may? Or does it reset or something with each extension ? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a 90-day report in Thailand depends on the type of visa and the specific rules at the local immigration office. For those entering on a visa exemption and extending their stay, generally, they do not need to file a 90-day report unless explicitly instructed by immigration authorities. This seems especially true for those on COVID extensions or short-term visas; however, it's advisable to confirm with the local immigration office to avoid any potential issues.

I have been in Thailand for 7 months on COVID extension and I asked Chiang Mai immigration if I need to do 90 day reporting. The woman laughed and said no.

, some immigration offices require you to do 90 days report once you are on Covid extension after you enter on visa-exempt scheme or tourist visa.

Tourist on visa exemption or tourist visa not need todo a 90 days report. If the immigration office did not inform you to make a 90 day report then you not need to do it. You are already at the immigration at every shortterm extension. But it can not harm to ask.

, it totally depends on your local immigration office if you need to report 90 days when you’re on Covid extension after tourist entry or not.

There were reports some people who changed provinces between Covid extensions, got fined for not reporting 90 days. You should ask.

Typical Thailand. Its never straight forward. Local immigrations often have their own rules. Asking is for sure the best thing to do. In every situation conserning the immigration.

AS you are not allowed to be longer than 90 days inside the country, you normally do not have to make 90 days reports.

BUT some Immigration Officers start telling the foreigners to make 90 days reports as they seem to be very long times inside Thailand based on the fact that they are unable to travel.

With not knowing where you are, the only option you have is to visit your local Immigration Office and ask them if they want you to make the reports and when you have to do this.

Okay, This picture of Immigrations would explain it in my point of view:

ahh okay , yes I wasn’t sure how it applied due to the special covid extension putting me 90 days in the country even without a non b visa at the moment . Maybe I can try online and if it gets rejected I can go and ask if they require it . Am I right in thinking it has moved back to chaengwattana from the temporary office around impact for bkk ?
