How soon should I transfer my visa to a new passport while in Thailand?
How quickly do I need to get my visa etc transferred into my new passport. Is there a timescale?
Maybe I will not be able to collect my passport from Bangkok for a while.

When transferring visas into a new passport in Thailand, it's important to note that only extensions of stay can be transferred, and not visas (except for elite visas). There is no strict timeframe for completing the transfer, but it should be done before your next 90-day reporting or extension deadline. To process the transfer, present both your old and new passports, along with a letter from your embassy regarding the new passport, at the immigration office.

You can't get a visa (sticker or stamp) transferred to a new passport (except for the elite visa) 😮 You can get an extension of stay stamp transferred though.
As far as a time scale, there is no real rule. You need to do it before your next 90 day report is due or your next extension.
You take the old passport, the new passport and the letter from your embassy stating you got a new passport issued while you were inside thailand to the immigration office where you got your extension along with these copies and they'll move the stamps while you wait.

since I got my extension I have relocated to a new home and Province. Does that mean I have to travel to my old immigration office?Tod *********

it means you needed to file a TM30 at the new immigration office where you live now..Then you should be able to get the stamps transferred at that office
